Can You Tile Over Tile Backsplash
Can You Tile Over Tile Backsplash. Hello, I am redoing my backsplash and was wondering if this is a good method. Can/should I tile over tile for my backsplash?
It skins quickly so you'll have to glue each tile. You don't tile over the tile. This will only work if the surface is smooth and there are no cracked or uneven backsplash tiles in the wall.
The best method for tiling a backsplash is to install cement board first.
Doing this would lead to an overly thick backsplash.
If you have a few problem tiles, simply remove and reinstall them before you tile over the wall. Easy DIY, you can makeover your kitchen AND bathroom at a more affordable price! Grout the backsplash, spreading the grout between the tiles with a grout float.
