Chocolate Cake With Chocolate Chips. In a large bowl, mix all cake ingredients except chips with a wooden spoon until smooth. Why, because this cake is chocolate squared.
Divide batter in half and pour evenly into two greased and floured round layer cake pans. Blend well with a handheld mixer, scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula. Scrape the sides and the bottom of the bowl, and mix once more.
Remove the bowl from the microwave and blend in the sugar and vanilla, stirring until combined.
Using a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave in intervals then set aside to cool.
