Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe. Spread evenly over first layer of biscuits. Making a well in the centre, gently mix in beaten egg and vanilla essence.
Put the butter, sugar, cocoa, syrup and milk in a pan and heat gently, stirring until melted together to make a chocolate sauce. Break each of the biscuits into almond-size pieces by hand and set aside. Melt the butter, syrup and chocolate in a pan over a low heat.
Spread evenly over first layer of biscuits.
Seal the pan with a lid or cover with foil.
